Describe the destination honestly

Use accurate names, labels and descriptions. Do not disguise a credential-collection page as a trusted login, impersonate a person or organization, or imply that a readable alias proves ownership or endorsement. Disclose commercial relationships where they affect the reader’s decision. A short URL must not be used to bypass another service’s safety review or spam controls.

Prohibited content and behavior

• Phishing, malware, harmful downloads, credential theft, fraud or deceptive offers.
• Unsolicited bulk messaging, repeated spam destinations or attempts to evade a suspension with new accounts or aliases.
• Illegal material, sexual exploitation, threats, harassment or content encouraging violence.
• Publishing private information, identity documents, intimate material or another person’s contact details without authorization.
• Copyright infringement, impersonation, misleading ownership claims or uploading media without the necessary rights.
• Empty, duplicated or keyword-stuffed pages created to manipulate search results, including template examples passed off as real people or businesses.
• Attacks on the service, its visitors or linked systems, including attempts to bypass access controls or upload restrictions.

Your content and responsibilities

You remain responsible for the accuracy of content you submit and for having permission to publish it. Publishing does not transfer your ownership of original material to UrlShorter. The service processes and displays submitted material to operate the requested page or link, subject to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Do not publish sensitive personal information just because a page is marked noindex. Anyone with an approved page’s URL can access it. Check external destinations regularly; their content can change after a link is created.

Review and enforcement

Hosted pages must pass review before publication. We may reject, suspend or remove material and restrict an account when it violates these rules. Repeated misuse or serious risk may result in restrictions without an opportunity to revise the material first. Automated checks help flag concerns but do not certify safety or replace moderator judgment.

Report a concern

Use Report Abuse with the affected UrlShorter URL, the reason for the report and enough context to investigate. Do not visit a suspicious destination merely to gather evidence, and do not submit passwords, payment details or unnecessary personal information.
