How to create a trackable QR code

  1. Shorten your URL first. Paste your long link into the shortener on our homepage to get a compact short link.
  2. Generate the QR code from the short link.The QR code encodes the short URL, so every scan is recorded in your click analytics — you'll see when, where, and on which devices people scanned.
  3. Test before printing. Scan the code with both an iPhone and an Android device, and verify the destination loads quickly on mobile data.
  4. Print with enough contrast and size. Dark modules on a light background, at least 2 × 2 cm for close-range scanning; larger for posters.
