1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the UrlShorter website at urlshorter.cc and the link-shortening, QR code, hosted public-page, account, and analytics features we provide, together called the “Service.” By accessing or using the Service, whether or not you create an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

UrlShorter converts long URLs into short redirect links, generates QR codes, summarizes eligible link activity, and provides builders for link-in-bio, VCard-style profile, and event information pages. A published hosted page can display profile information, text, links, contact or event details, and media or embeds supplied by its creator at a public UrlShorter address. Short links redirect visitors to the destination URL supplied by their creator. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for user-supplied pages, media, embeds, or destination content.

3. Accounts and Guest Use

• You may create basic short links without an account. Guest links are associated with a signed browser claim and optional local history. Clearing site data removes your browser's ownership evidence and local access to that history; knowing a short code alone does not restore management access.
• You may create a guest hosted-page draft. A guest page and its signed browser ownership claim are configured to expire after 30 days. Clearing the ownership cookie can prevent further editing even before that period ends.
• Creating an account with email and password or Google sign-in gives you a dashboard for managing links and viewing analytics. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use short links, hosted pages, uploaded media, profile fields, embeds, or any other part of the Service to publish, point to, or otherwise engage in:

• Phishing, malware, spyware, or any content designed to harm users or devices;
• Fraud, scams, deceptive practices, or impersonation of any person or brand;
• Content that is illegal in the jurisdiction where it is published or accessed;
• Spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, or artificial click manipulation;
• Content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
• Circumventing filters, blocklists, or moderation systems of other platforms.

We validate submitted destination formats and selected uploaded-file properties, review abuse reports, and may disable any link or page, remove content, or suspend any account that we reasonably believe violates this section, with or without notice. Repeated or serious violations result in permanent termination.

5. Your Content and Data

You retain the rights you hold in destination URLs, profile information, text, page blocks, images, videos, files, metadata, and other material you submit, called “Your Content.” You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit and publish Your Content, including permission to display a person's image or contact information.

You grant UrlShorter a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license limited to operating the Service: to host, store, reproduce, process, resize or transcode where needed for compatibility, transmit, and publicly display Your Content according to the publication settings you choose. The license continues only while needed to operate the feature and for reasonable backup, security, abuse-evidence, and legal retention. Removing a media block or deleting a page stops its normal active publication but may not immediately erase a separately stored asset or backup; use the contact form for an asset-removal request.

A published page is public to anyone with its address. Do not publish secrets, passwords, private access tokens, or personal information you are not authorized to share. Third-party media and links may cause a visitor to interact with an external provider governed by that provider's terms and privacy practices. 6. Service Availability and Changes

We work to keep redirects fast and reliable, but the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice of changes that materially affect active links.

7. Advertising

Eligible public content pages may display advertising when an advertising client is configured and the applicable consent choice permits it. Advertising providers such as Google may process browser, device, cookie, and interaction information directly under their own policies. The categories and choices are described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UrlShorter disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any destination content is safe or accurate. See also our Disclaimer.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UrlShorter and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or business, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UrlShorter from any claims, damages, or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the Service, the destinations you link to, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
