Choose the right way to share
Start with the visitor’s task. A short redirect, a QR image and a hosted page solve different problems; the right choice avoids unnecessary steps and keeps the destination clear.
One destination, several choices, or a printed route?
Use a short link when the destination already exists and there is one useful next action. Use a hosted page when visitors need your identity, context or a choice of destinations. Add a QR code when the starting point is physical. These tools can be combined: a QR code may open a contact page, or a link-in-bio button may use a managed campaign link.
Short links
Send someone to one existing website, document, video or campaign destination.
How to start
Paste a public HTTP or HTTPS URL, optionally choose an available alias and UTM values, then open the result to verify the destination. Sign in to manage saved links.
A redirect is not a hosted landing page. The destination controls its own content and access rules.
Link-in-bio pages
Help a profile visitor choose between several clearly labelled links.
How to start
Select a template, add your identity and a concise description, replace every sample link, and move the primary action to the top. Preview the page and submit it for review.
External stores, booking tools and forms remain separate services. Page publication requires moderation approval.
Digital contact pages
Share a professional identity, public contact methods and relevant work from one address.
How to start
Choose a VCard template, include only public contact details, and test phone, email and website actions on a mobile device. Submit the completed profile for review.
This is a hosted web page; it does not automatically produce a VCF address-book file or verify a person’s identity.
Event information pages
Give attendees a reliable source for date, time zone, location, agenda and registration instructions.
How to start
Replace the template’s sample logistics, name the organizer, link to an external registration service, and verify travel and access information. Submit the page before distributing its URL.
UrlShorter does not collect RSVPs, process ticket payments, maintain guest lists or send attendee notifications.
QR codes
Connect a printed card, sign or handout to an online destination.
How to start
Enter a tested URL, adjust the code, and download the image. Print a proof at the final size and scan it with more than one phone before producing a batch.
The image contains the URL you entered. To change its destination later, encode an account-managed short link and maintain that redirect.
What to prepare before building
- A clear audience and a single primary action.
- Destinations you are authorized to share, tested without your own signed-in session.
- Original descriptions and media you have permission to publish.
- A maintenance owner who can update information and respond to reports.
Browse the working templates for a starting structure. Remove unused blocks and demonstration content rather than leaving an unfinished page for visitors.
Publication, privacy and measurement
Hosted pages are drafts until submitted and approved. Changes require another review before they return to public view. Approved pages can be opened by anyone with their URL; noindex is not a password. We currently keep all user-created pages out of our sitemap and request that search engines do not index them. Read the content and moderation policy before submitting personal information.
Account-managed short links provide redirect activity. Counts can include scanners and previews, so use destination analytics for purchases, sign-ups and other outcomes. See the measurement guide for reporting boundaries.
Common decisions
Do I need a new page for an online résumé or social links?
Use the existing contact or link-in-bio builder when its blocks fit the job. A separate search-targeted page or duplicate profile adds maintenance without making the visitor’s task easier.
Can I use a custom domain or a shared team workspace?
Current public links and pages use the UrlShorter domain. Custom domains and shared team workspaces are not provided. Administrative reassignment is a support control, not shared account access.
Where can I get help with an existing item?
Use the help center for creation and troubleshooting, the contact form for an account or review question, and Report Abuse for suspected misuse. Include the affected URL without sharing passwords or private documents.
