A professional digital contact page
Create a concise contact profile with social links and selected work on a hosted UrlShorter page. Preview it, submit it for review, and share the approved page.
Everything you need, built right in.
Professional profile
Present a name, role, concise biography, portrait, and selected work in a focused page that is easier to update than printed material.
Contact blocks
Combine supported contact, location, social-profile, and link blocks, then remove any detail that should not be public.
Direct actions
Use buttons and link lists to route visitors to a portfolio, booking service, professional network, or externally hosted contact file.
Purpose-built templates
Start from a contact-page template and replace every demonstration name, image, claim, URL, and contact value with reviewed information.
Responsive preview
Review the card in mobile and desktop previews, then test the published URL on the devices people will use at a meeting or event.
Controlled publication
Manage the page from its owner account, preview changes, and remove information that is no longer appropriate to share.
Practical guide
Build a contact page that earns the next conversation
A digital contact page should help a person remember who you are, understand why they might contact you, and choose a safe next step. It is not a place to publish every personal detail or a substitute for an address-book file. Start with the minimum useful information and add proof only when it serves the intended audience.
UrlShorter calls this page type a digital VCard, but the current workflow is a hosted web page rather than an automatic VCF-file generator. That distinction matters: browsers can display the profile and its links, while contact-file downloads, scheduling, customer records, and identity verification must be handled by separate systems.
Contact-page format comparison
Use this table to choose the workflow that matches what you need to publish today.
| Decision | What UrlShorter provides | What to consider |
|---|---|---|
| Hosted contact profile | A responsive UrlShorter page can combine biography, contact blocks, social profiles, media, and direct-action links. | Best for context and easy updates. It requires a network connection and currently stays on a urlshorter.cc address. |
| VCF contact file | A button can link to a VCF file that you create and host elsewhere; UrlShorter does not generate that file automatically. | Best for importing structured contact fields. Test the file on iOS, Android, and desktop contacts before sharing it. |
| Short link or QR handoff | A short link or separately generated static QR code can point visitors to the published contact page. | Print a QR code only after the final URL is stable, and keep a readable URL nearby for accessibility and recovery. |
| Owned portfolio website | The contact page can link outward to an owned site, case study, scheduling tool, or professional network. | Use an owned domain when search visibility, deeper navigation, advanced measurement, or complete visual control is required. |
From template to published page
- 1
Choose a specific audience
Decide whether the page is for conference contacts, clients, recruiters, patients, customers, or collaborators. The audience determines which identity and contact fields are genuinely useful.
- 2
Select and clear a template
Choose a VCard template, then replace every example identity, testimonial, metric, employer, image, and destination. Demonstration content must never remain on a public professional profile.
- 3
Publish the minimum useful identity
Add a clear name, role, short description, and one preferred contact route. Use additional blocks for selected work or availability only when they help the visitor decide what to do next.
- 4
Test each contact action
Open mailto, tel, website, map, social, and file links from a phone. Confirm that external destinations belong to you and do not expose tracking parameters or private documents unexpectedly.
- 5
Submit and keep contact details accurate
Submit the completed contact page for moderation. It becomes public only when approved. Changes to employment, availability, phone numbers or project links require another review. Check the builder status before sharing the updated page.
Frequently asked questions
Does UrlShorter generate a downloadable VCF contact file?
No automatic VCF generator is currently provided. You can publish contact details and link to a VCF file hosted by a service you control, but you must create and maintain that file separately.
Can I put the contact page on my own domain?
No. Published contact pages currently use a urlshorter.cc address. Custom-domain and white-label hosting are not available.
Does UrlShorter track profile views and contact clicks?
Do not rely on the contact-page builder for profile or per-button analytics. Use campaign-tagged managed links and the destination system's analytics when a measurable networking workflow is required.
What personal information should I publish?
Publish only information you are comfortable making public. A role, work email, professional profile, and relevant portfolio are often enough; avoid home addresses, private phone numbers, identity documents, and confidential employer information.
