A clear home for event information
Create one hosted page for the date, venue, agenda, FAQs and an external registration link. Publication requires review; UrlShorter does not collect RSVPs or manage guests.
Everything you need, built right in.
Essential event details
Publish a title, date, time, summary, and practical arrival information in a format visitors can review from a phone.
Location context
Add a venue or location block and a tested external directions link, with written fallback details for visitors who cannot use an embed.
Agenda blocks
Organize sessions, speakers, doors-open times, breaks, and closing information so the page answers common schedule questions.
External registration link
Send visitors to a separate registration, ticketing, donation, or booking service that is designed to collect and protect attendee data.
Event templates
Choose a relevant starting layout, then replace all demonstration dates, names, venues, images, prices, and links before publishing.
Hosted page URL
Share the resulting urlshorter.cc event-page address in invitations, messages, or a separately generated QR code after testing every destination.
Practical guide
Make the event page the reliable source of truth
An event page creates value when it reduces uncertainty. Visitors should be able to confirm what the event is, who it is for, when and where it happens, what they need to bring, and where registration takes place. Put those answers ahead of decorative media and keep the wording consistent with invitations and the registration system.
The UrlShorter event workflow is an informational hosted page. It can organize event, agenda, location, media, FAQ, and button blocks, but it is not an RSVP database, payment processor, notification service, or calendar platform. Assign each responsibility to the right system and connect them with clear, tested links.
Event workflow responsibility matrix
Use this table to choose the workflow that matches what you need to publish today.
| Decision | What UrlShorter provides | What to consider |
|---|---|---|
| Event information | Use the hosted page for the public description, date, venue, agenda, access notes, FAQ, and organizer contact route. | Keep one person responsible for reviewing changes and remove demonstration content before publication. |
| Registration or tickets | A button can link to the external service that collects registrations, payments, waivers, or attendee details. | UrlShorter does not collect RSVPs. Review the external service's privacy, refund, accessibility, and capacity behavior. |
| Calendar reminders | The page can link to an externally maintained calendar destination if you provide one. | There is no promised built-in calendar integration. Verify time zones, recurrence, updates, and mobile behavior in the external system. |
| Attendee updates | You can revise the public page when details change. | A page edit does not alert guests. Send operational changes through the registration or communication system that holds consented contact data. |
From template to published page
- 1
Set the source-of-truth fields
Confirm the official title, organizer, local date, time zone, venue, access requirements, and registration destination before you begin designing the page.
- 2
Choose and sanitize a template
Select an event layout, then replace all placeholder people, venues, dates, sponsors, prices, agenda items, testimonials, images, and links. Delete blocks you cannot substantiate.
- 3
Write for arrival decisions
Place the essential logistics near the top. Use agenda and FAQ blocks for transport, accessibility, age limits, refunds, remote access, food, or equipment only when those details are confirmed.
- 4
Connect the registration system
Label the external action precisely—register, buy a ticket, join the stream, or request access. Test successful and failure paths without entering real attendee data into an unverified environment.
- 5
Submit before announcing the event
Submit the completed event page for review before distributing its URL. Changes to an approved page require another review, so plan time for updates. Notify attendees through your external registration system when logistics change.
Frequently asked questions
Can UrlShorter collect RSVPs or manage a guest list?
No. The current event-page builder publishes information and links; it does not collect RSVPs or provide guest management. Link to a dedicated registration or ticketing service when attendance data is required.
Does the event page add dates to Google, Apple, or Outlook calendars?
No built-in calendar integration is currently promised. You may link to an externally maintained calendar or event service, but you should test that destination on the platforms your guests use.
Can I embed an interactive map?
The location block supports a written venue, address, and external map link. Some general media blocks accept supported embeds, but do not rely on an embedded map as the only source of directions.
What happens when event details change?
Update the hosted page promptly, mark the changed date or venue clearly, and notify registered guests through the external system that collected their contact details. A page edit alone is not a notification service.
